Losing weight is a very big task as you grow older it is very easy to put on weight, because your metabolism system slows down. Being over weight is very bad for your health, being over weight can lead to high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease.
Losing weight is all about calories in and calories out as i mention in previous posts. the first thing you need to do is watch your intake of food. To loose one pound you have to loose 3500 that means you have to consume 500 calories less for 7 days.
It is very important to keep a diary of all the foods you consume during the day, so you can measure the amount of calories you consume. Check you weight every morning to see your progress, a lot of people may disagree but i check my weight in the mornings to see if i have gain any weight or loose any weight then i adjust my diet or exercise pattern to reach my goal.
Exercise is very important, you need to do at least 20 to 30 min exercise daily to keep your weight in check. I recommend walking we where born to walk it comes natural you can walk 20 mins in the morning walk 15 mins during your lunch time and walk 20 mins after work.
If you work in an office don't sit at your desk for more that 20 mins, get up and walk to the lunch room or walk to the photocopy machine always try your best to keep moving during the day as this will help you to loose some weight.
Swimming is a very good exerciser it works the entire body and it is also very good to lower your blood pressure. Jumping rope is a very good way to loose weight but you have to do it right else you can hurt yourself.
Please don't be discourage by your weight loss efforts because loosing the excess pound will bring you better health.
