A suspect has been charged in the case of six-year-old Phaedra Martin, who was allegedly stolen from her father on Tuesday, May 5.
Thirty-year-old Sheldon Coleman was charged with child stealing after being interviewed in the presence of his attorney.
He is scheduled to appear before the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court on Friday, May 15.
Meanwhile, Phaedra has been placed in state care.
Phaedra was reportedly taken from her father on Ransford Avenue, Kingston 5 by men who held him at knife point.
On Saturday Coleman turned himself in to the Kingston Central Police along with the child.
